Recently, I went to a 10 day long conference held in Pasadena, California. While most of my time was spent in the conference centre, I managed to spend a little bit of time looking around the Old Town area of Pasadena. If you want to know how to spend a day in Pasadena, read on!
Indulge in some retail therapy:
Colorado Boulevard is full of well known stores where you can shop till you drop. If on the other hand you are looking to buy from more independent stores, One Colorado is the place to go. There is also a very pretty square to hang out in, and there are often special events going on here.
Have a delicious lunch at Sage:
When you’re done shopping around One Colorado, go to the conveniently located Sage. As a vegetarian, this place was heaven for me, and my non-vegetarian friends didn’t complain either. The food and drink were excellent, with a lot of variety so you have options no matter what you are in the mood for. (I highly recommend the Bahn Mi sandwich!).
Find hidden gems in the Pasadena Antique Mall:
This is a great shop to look around and find some truly unique items to pick up. I saw about 5 different things I wanted to buy in the first 3 minutes.
